Welcome to the iForge website!

We’re currently designing and building an awesome site for the iForge, so at the moment there’s not a lot to see here. You can still get in touch with us through Facebook or email with the links at the bottom of the page. iForgeSheffield.org will soon be home to all the stuff you need to know about the iForge as well as all the cool stuff that’s going on around the makerspace.

  1. Hello, my name’s Jake.

On Friday the 15th of February I spoke to someone representing iforge and they were interested in helping our school to make go carts for a box cart derby, that we host annually.

I got the iforge email address off of the representative however, I get a reply email that directs me to the iforge webpage but as I’m not in university yet I cannot access the site properly.

If you could get back to me with the dates that we could use your workshop that would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Hi there
MakeFest is back! The Science and Industry Museum’s family festival of making, engineering and technology returns on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May 2019 and the window for applications will be closing very soon (Tuesday 19 March.)
Each year, this celebration takes over the museum galleries for a whole weekend with hands-on activities that encourage our visitors to have a go at making for themselves. This year, MakeFest is supported by the Royal Academy of Engineering under the Ingenious Awards scheme.
We need all kinds of people to make MakeFest happen. Techie, maker, engineer, hacker, hobbyist, crafter, artist, tinker, tailor or even a candlestick maker – we want to hear from you.
Applications can be submitted by individuals or groups. If you’re available to take part on both Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May, visit the link below to fill out a short application form or to get more information on the event and timescales from our Festival Pack.

    Best wishes
