Our team of enthusiastic student volunteers require some new faces to help us run our makerspace! Ensuring university of Sheffield students can continue to Make. Build. Create. Fix. Repair. Invent and Learn!
We are looking for new team members from across the entire university, from any course or discipline!! All the necessary training is provided, all we ask is that you are friendly and can communicate well, you enjoy being creative, and that you enjoy solving problems!
As an iForge team member (Rep), you will join a friendly, creative and enthusiastic community of fellow students makers. As iForge reps, we run, fix, maintain, publicise, plan, organise everything that goes on in the space, whilst being responsible for the safety of our users and ourselves. As a collective, we constantly aim to make our makerspace the best it can be, and we want you to join us on that journey.
As an iForge team member, you will join one of our nine sub-teams, each responsible for one central aspect of the iForge. 
– Hardware
– 3D Printing 
– Publicity 
– Relations 
– Events
– Logistics 
– Finance 
– Health and Safety / Training 
– IT Systems 
All team members must volunteer a minimum of 2-3 hours to their sub-team, completing tasks that help to keep the iForge cogs turning! Take some time to read through each of our nine teams descriptions and decide where your skills may be best suited! 
As well as your role in one of our teams, each iForge team member is required to do one 3 hour shift a week. During this period, you are responsible for supervising anywhere up to 45 students alongside two other iForge team members. On-shift, you will provide training for new users, provide support and guidance to users to help realise projects and be continuously responsible for H&S of the space.
