Toadstool Lamp
I had the idea of making a toadstool lamp for a toddlers bedroom where the light shines through the spots on the toadstool. I wanted to make the toadstool from wood and use frosted acrylic to diffuse the light. The design is a “digital” inspired shape where the curved toadstool head was simplified into a series of flat plates. All parts were lasercut from 5mm plywood and the edges sanded to obtain the correct angles to generate the shapes. The lamp light was reclaimed from a charity shop, and the toadstool dimensions were chosen to house the bulb.
